All skate sharpeners create swarf (dust-like particulate comprised of abrasive and skate steel material) in the sharpening process. If you are putting a skate sharpener in your house, you NEED a dust management system. The Sparx Sharpener is the only at-home skate sharpener to include an on-board dust management system with a HEPA-rated filter to help manage the swarf created in the sharpening process.

From sharpening adult skates to the youngest child's skate in the household, more often than not you are changing hollows frequently. The last thing you want to do is handle a hot Grinding Ring. At Sparx, our patented rings sharpen at a safe-to-the touch temperature so you can easily and safely swap out rings immediately after sharpening.

It is inevitable. You will run into that skate blade that needs a little more work than others to get perfectly level edges (blades and blade holders aren't always straight). Having the ability to make minor sharpener alignment adjustments is a must-have feature for any skate sharpening system. With the Sparx Sharpener 3, adjusting the sharpener alignment is simple and the Sparx BEAM provides easy-to-understand instructions directly in the Sparx App.
